Holly & Alex’s Chelsea Old Town Hall Wedding and reception at The Phene was an absolute joy to be a part of. Chelsea Old Town Hall is a newly refurbished Grade II listed Victorian building nestled in the heart of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. It offers a beautiful, memorable and timeless backdrop for those wishing to tie the knot in London.
We began our morning by meeting Alex outside the main steps where he and his groomsmen greeted guests to let them know which room their ceremony will be held in. Alex wore a double breasted suit from Suit Supply with sage green tie to match.
Shortly after Alex followed his guests inside to the Small Hall Room. This room is light and airy with notable features including an ornate fireplace, technical audio availability and a floor space of 158 sqm.
We met with Holly and her gorgeous bridesmaids on the front steps for a few portraits before heading on inside. Holly wore a Ba&sh silk slip dress that paired beautifully with her bouquet of toffee and blush pink roses.

We love taking wedding photos at Chelsea Old Town Hall, and this day was no exception. After a heartfelt ceremony and wonderful readings we made our way outside where guests had lined up for confetti photos on the steps.
We always give our couples the best advice before heading down into confetti, it can be a bit overwhelming at first but they are some of our favourite photos of the day to take. After Holly and Alex had been hugged and kissed by just about everyone, we made our way to the wedding reception.
Our style of wedding photography is very relaxed and laid back. We give subtle direction so that our couples can act in a way that’s both natural and photogenic in every scenario. As London wedding photographers, Our goal is to take elegant, timeless wedding photos in London with an editorial edge.
Wedding reception at The Phene, Chelsea
From Chelsea Old Town Hall we made our way towards The Phene. Tucked away just a short walk from the Kings Road is this iconic Chelsea Pub. Dating back to 1853, this clubhouse style venue is known in SW3 for its cosy atmosphere, enclosed garden space and delicious food. The Phene also has a range of rooms and spaces available to hire for private events and wedding receptions. Rooms can cater anything from quiet lunches to all-out receptions for 200 guests.
Holly and Alex were greeted with a roar of cheer as their guests welcomed them into the pub garden. Once canapés were finished we headed upstairs to check out the gorgeous Oakley Room located on the first floor. With a private bar and beautiful natural light pouring through the windows, The Phene is the perfect Pub wedding venue in Chelsea.
Speeches were hilarious, engaging and heartfelt from start to finish. Guests headed downstairs to relax in the private garden space whilst the sun began to set in the distance. As the evening light began to fade we took a few editorial flash style wedding photos with Holly and Alex. These are some of our favourite from the day and are so quick to capture.
April’s Baker created the most Devine wedding cake with intricate piping detail. We gathered with everyone as guests counted down and cheered on Holly and Alex as they cut the first slice. We finished the evening with an epic first dance and all out private dance party.
We can’t wait to visit again and take more wedding photos at Chelsea Old Town Hall and The Phene.
