Modern Wedding Photography in Oxford 

We’ve always wanted to capture a wedding at the Bodleian library in  Oxford. So when Leena and Jon got in touch with us about documenting their modern romantic wedding with couple portraits around Oxford, we were so excited to get on board. 

We began the day by meeting Jon at the Old Bank Hotel in the heart of the city. After a few moments Leena walked through the door in a total showstopper of a wedding dress. With handmade beaded sparkle lace and a structured boned corset bodice, the Lola dress from Made With Love Bridal was absolutely perfect for Leena.

Oxford was surprising calm with few tourists perusing the streets and taking in the sights. We arrived much earlier in the day to plan the perfect route for couple photos in Oxford, making sure not to miss any beautiful backdrops along the way. 

As the sun began to set we found the perfect location to take some editorial night time flash photos. These two were so natural in front of the camera, it was an absolute joy to hang out with them before their intimate ceremony at the Bodleian Library. 

After a beautiful candlelit ceremony with close loved ones in the Convocation House, we entered The Divinity School which is part of one of the oldest working libraries in the world (and has also made a feature in the Harry Potter films!) Here the team at Fabulous Flowers and Oxford Fine Dining had set up the most incredible intimate reception table we’ve ever seen. 

Leena and Jon walked towards the table in awe as we photographed more beautiful portraits of the two of them. Guests shortly joined after and couldn’t believe how perfectly everything had come together. 

This romantic intimate wedding in Oxford was the perfect way to end 2021 and we hope to document more weddings in Oxford in the near future.
